The company entered the home console market in 1987, making Famicom (NES) games, and would later also produce titles for the Super Famicom (SNES), Mega Drive (Genesis), PC Engine (TurboGrafx) and arcades.
The company was founded in 1983 and based in Tokyo, Japan. It closed years later in 1993. A US publishing subsidiary, Hot-B USA, was established, which outlived its parent company by over a decade.
